Adopt-A-Room Project

Meet All Things New, a safe house for women rescued from human trafficking opening in Oklahoma City.  The Spero Project is so excited to help in any way we can to make this safe house a reality!

To support this effort, if you or any group you participate in would like to take on sponsoring a room, we need your help to meet the deadline. The house needs to be set up to welcome women by March, 2010. There are 9 bedrooms and 2 kitchens that need to be furnished, and we are asking for nothing but new items.  This will be the first time in many years the women have had anything of their own and we want to give them a sense of pride and dignity right from the start!

Listed below are the items we need for each room.  Our challenge to you:  Can you, your family, and/or a small group you participate in gather ALL the items for ONE entire room?!?!?!  We are asking that your group gather and store each of the items until February 20th.  Then we request that you find a way to deliver your items to The Spero Project Resource Center some time between 9:30a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20th.  The location of the house must be kept confidential, so we will send the donations on with certified All Things New volunteers to the house after you drop them at the Resource Center.  The Spero Project Resource Center is located at 4646 N. Santa Fe, Oklahoma City, 73118.  **Any items donated through the Spero Project are tax-deductible and receipts will be given when you deliver items at your request.
