Run for Refugees and Refugee Experience
We are excited to kickoff BRIGHT Campaign 2010 with Refugee Experience 2010 on September 4!
Every year thousands of refugees are resettled to America to begin a new life.
But they haven't forgotten their past--and neither should we.
Join us as we try to understand and appreciate the journey of a refugee.
Invite your friends, family, bible study group, or youth group to experience this together!

1 Mile Experience Walk
a walk to understand the journey of a refugee from Burma
You can begin the experience walk anytime you choose between 9:30 am to 11:30 am and go through at your own pace. The walk will include interactive stations with details on the conflict in Burma, examples of a refugee home, and more. You can choose to make the experience more interactive by walking barefoot, carrying the weight of a toddler on your back, or sampling the food that a refugee would have available to them on the journey. There is also a podcast available to download ahead of time that will include real-life stories of struggle and hope to listen to as you walk. This is a great opportunity for individuals and families to get a glimpse into the journey of a refugee, and we'd love for you to join us! The experience walk is free to all, but donations are encouraged.
